Criminally unreliable.I've had a few attempts with ShapeShift. One was delayed, but eventually refunded. The other went through quickly. I had good experiences with their customer support, even if it took them a few days to get back to me.
There's updates on their site warning about certain coins (BTC and ETH specifically). Okay, fair enough. My transfer is nothing to do with either of those coins, should be fine right?
Nope. Sent them a significant amount of one coins as it peaks. Confirmation on blockchain for nearly 24 hours now, their site still says its "awaiting deposit". No chance of a support response in a timely fashion. By the time I get a refund sorted this BS will cost me hundreds in rate changes.
If they're not scammers then they are criminally incompetent. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

So I wanted to exchange BTC to XRP, sent the bitcoin and so I waited, waited and waited. It's been over 4 days now and I still don't have my ripple. Also sent them a support ticket to get a refund for my lost bitcoins but haven't heard anything back from their so called "support team". Do yourself a favour, DO NOT use Shapeshift it's a complete mess at the moment!!

I sent shapeshift 3.74 Ethereum on the 19th of december to receive 74.415 ETC. I sent the amount successfully transaction ID Order ID: a522cb8a-e896-48ba-9e1b-bbce4a8fb79a
and the ethereum scan shows they received the amount successfully
they never sent me etc nor refunded me my eth.. i am waiting and nobody responded to the ticket i opened.. my experience with them is bad.. they are taking our coins hostages with no response.

I too tried to shift bitcoin to ripple about a week ago. Sent the bitcoin, still haven't received any ripple. Sent a support ticket 4 days ago and they haven't replied at all. Unlikely that I'll ever get anything.

I deposited a few hundred dollars worth of bit coin in order to change it into Ripple. shapeshift accepted my money, and said the transaction was pending. However, the exchange never made it to my ripple wallet. I sent a support request after 9 hours because the transaction was still not in my ripple account or reimbursed back into my blockchain account. It has now been 4 days, and I have not heard back from shapeshift nor have I seen the money returned...

Was extremely nervous at first based on previous reviews but tried it anyway because a few friends had said they didn't have any issues. Transferred ETH from my Coinbase account to LTC on my Coinspot account. From start to finish approximately 20mins. Very easy to use, no nasty surprises.

tried several times to click on the TRADE button, but no reaction, no response, no pop-up saying to cofirm or that it happened. the button didn't change color or any indicator of a successful click on the TRADE button. (BTC to BCH)also the transaction history is off the window and no scroll bars (on Windows) so so i can't even see the transaction history to see if I have any pending orders from my attempts. no way to cancel if they're pending. this is un-usable at this point.

I've gone back and forth with them because their service failed twice. I ended up losing .02 ethereum in transaction fees that they charged me despite their service failing. I've given them multiple chances to rectify the circumstance, and they have refused. Don't use this company.

I initiated an exchange via blockchain.info from bitcoin to ethereum. The funds left my account. More than one week later after no return of funds I created a support ticket at Shapeshift. They explained an error had occurred their end and that they would escalate the issue. I then received notification that the transaction had been completed. Funds were back in my account, but no etheruem, it was bitcoin. I lost out large percentage due to price fluctuations and was also charged for this transaction that wasn't.I won't be using Shapeshift again, and cannot understand why Blockchain.info use them as their default exchange partner.

Exchanged a very large amount of bch for xrp. After a few hours, transaction came back as "resolved". XRP funds never made it to my account and this was done 2 days ago, XRP is still not in my account. Have sent support a ticket with information, and got a reply about transaction fee?! It doesnt appear that they are even reading the support ticket information, as I am getting what appears to be "pre-canned" email responses. I sent another email and have not heard anything back. Will update when applicable.

1st order didnt process, they refunded me 200 less than my order and no reason given for why the transaction didnt go through. second and 3rd went through but felt exchange rate was high. now 4th i bought ripple and the transaction didnt go through and no refund. i believe the others when they say its a scam. dont waste your money playing russian roulette with their exchange when there are other proven exchanges. tried 3 different coins from their site:

I was the last one who posted on here about saying i used the exchange about 30 mins ago. Well heres and update an hour later. Left my computer for an hour and came back to find my BTC exchanged into XPR. So pretty good website I would say.
