starstarstarstarstar I agree with the author of previous negative review regarding the CoinBase.
Last 2 days a small money, which I received on my CoinBase account, were under "Pending" and to-day this money disappeared without any notice from their team. Now they inform me: "we are not currently able to provide email support for residents of your country". So, they are able to use my money, but do not want send me the answer regarding my question:" where are my money?"

starstarstarstarstar I have not yet figured out if coinbase is crooked or just extremely incompetent. Their "computer" canceled a transaction of mine (they say this only happens rarely, but I think it is common). Because they canceled the transaction, I committed my funds elsewhere. To my great surprise, they now say that if I do not finish the transaction that THEY CANCELED my funds will remain essentially frozen by coinbase (nearly $3000 that I have absolutely no way of accessing...I don't know how I will make rent next month without access to my money). I would not be so angry if they merely prevented me from buying more currency, but they will also not allow me to spend or sell that coin. Their website says that they will only freeze your assets if there is a court order to do so, but I now know this is not true. Does anybody know how to serve court papers on coinbase? I would love to see them either commit a lawyer to defend their actions or have to pay a small claims judgment. To my amazement, they have only ever responded to my several inquiries/complaints with one sentence demanding that I manually finish the transaction that coinbase itself canceled. They have now gone completely silent and will not respond in any way.

starstarstarstarstar Sent 2 btc to my account to sell for GBP, so far so good. Then attempted to withdraw GBP, no can do. I am instructed to send "test" money to Coinbase Estonian bank to verify my Sepa account. Apparently once verified my funds will be sent in Euros and converted back to GBP minus the transfer charges and exchange losses from GBP into euros then back to GBP.

In the end I bought 1.9 BTC back and sent it to LocalBitcoins. So an hour and $75 down. Wont be using again. To be fair they are up against a horrible banking system which seems to be doing all it can to screw with bitcoin, but there has to be a better way.

starstarstarstarstar They stole money from me! They were ONLY supposed to do 2 verification charges to my account, they DID 4 and was over $5!!! THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE!! THEY DO NOT GIVE THE MONEY BACK. They also do not let you withdraw, to your bank account

starstarstarstarstar I have never been able to use their system to purchase anything. Every order I placed got rejected. The Coinbase customer support personnel don't seem to want to help me make it work. I don't think I have ever seen worse customer support.

starstarstarstarstar I liked this app until I got randomly frozen. Then I had to work with their customer service, which was terrible. The app is also buggy. I thought coinbase was supposed to be a legit service backed by real people. They better improve here, or they will be out of business.

starstarstarstarstar If I could give minus stars I will !! This company is the worst bitcoin broker ever. They will lock your account for no reason and their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with in my 45 years of life !!! Their so-called security measure is very doubtful and they don't respect their customers time. Just stay away from them. There is plenty of good BTC broker out there.

starstarstarstarstar Seriously consider where you spend your money when buying btc I couldn't really say that this is a reputable site. You cannot withdraw £ or $ Their business address is in the UK but their bank is in Estonia. I'm not sure why they do this but still want to track your BTC. It is so easy to add your money to their site but will make you jump through a bunch of hoops to take your own money back. Avoid at all costs and find a seller that is transparent with how they do this.

starstarstarstarstar Terrible customer service. Locked out of my account for no reason (using the same computer as always) and customer service has done nothing but give me the run around. Their final solution was passing the hot potato off to a third a party company (authy) saying they were the only ones who could help. Even though I never was a costumer of authy or had asked to be. Only every used coinbase and gdax but they can't help me get back into my account on their own system.

starstarstarstarstar Run away from this company. I don't know how they do business, but I can't pass verifying identity. They say they are aware there is the problem with uploading identity files, but they don't care to solve it. So I m wondering if they are closing their business or it is already closed?

I even send them an email, and they just copy paste some text and really not helping me. I even tell them to send me any kind of link where I can upload documents but no response after that, guess they don't have working form.

Also, they say that they don't accept ID trough email that this is not safe. And i m wondering how safe are things on their website if a simple upload form is not working properly, then you can ask your self how safe is your money if a simple upload form is not working?

starstarstarstarstar I was really looking forward to using Coinbase after my son gave me a Trezor as a birthday present. Despite linking my bank and waiting 3 business days, there were no deposits in my bank which were needed for Coinbase to verify my bank account after 4 days. Sending Coinbase emails elicited no response. I removed the bank info and reentered the bank data as they suggest in their support note. Today the deposits actually appeared and I entered them in the bank payment verification screen - WRONG - they were invalid. Live chat popped up but disappeared when I typed my question. There is no phone number to call but eventually I got live chat - They tell my that the deposit numbers I entered were from my first bank record and I would have to wait 3 business days - thats 5 real days - to see the correct verification deposits from my second bank record (same bank). I also tried entering my driving license via webcam in order to verify a credit card and they could never verify it. They appear to have no mechanism for uploading a scanned license, like everyone else.
Given what I've been through, can I trust Coinbase with my bank info, driving license info and for holding my bitcoins? I don't think so. So I'm up on Circle instead - good UI, good support, simple process, but very limiting on the amount of bitcoins you can buy ($300/week at first). I have already used Circle to put ($300) bitcoins on to my Trezor.
Help me .... I'm just simply trying to buy a few bitcoins!!

starstarstarstarstar No response from customer service
Very bad customer service

starstarstarstarstar Very bad service, The website right now its slow I cant make any payment!

starstarstarstarstar Absolutely disappointed with coinbase's customer service. Their difficulty providing timely responses to the most basic of queries is matched only by their difficulty deciding what limits to give whom and at what time. They change and modify limits without any sort of notice or contact, and after I contacted them asking them to raise my limits (from a paltry $10 to a still very low $50 per day limit) my account was placed on hold "pending further identification review". They already have my driver's license on file - I'm not sure what else they want but I'm not exactly sending a DNA sample.

This was the first non-p2p bitcoin marketplace I tried and could very well be the last.

As soon as I hear back from customer service (4+ days now without the ability to buy any amount of bitcoin) I'm closing my account. It's literally less hassle for me to drive to the bitcoin ATM 45 minutes from my house than to use their website from my desk.

starstarstarstarstar Bought and sold thousands through coinbase with no problems. Once signed up it has been a easy process.

I traded btc for eth before coinbase started selling eth. Moved eth from bit.ac to coinbase within hours of coinbase having eth wallets.

Eth is about to have a huge breakout. Major news from Asia to throughout Europe, America can't ignore it. Loading up on eth as we see it following a similar price fluctuation and progress as btc has.

Btc and eth have the banks attention. Coinbase is a fast growing company that continues to catch up. The market is huge and about to hit a tsunami of growth, growing pains are expected and riches to be made.

starstarstarstarstar this company is a joke. after creating my account, before even using it, i couldn't even get past the ID verification before they closed my account. after emailing them asking why, their response was:

"we are legally obligated to implement regulatory compliance mechanisms. We regret to inform you that we are no longer able to support your Coinbase account as well as any other accounts you may have created."

when i responded explaining that they didnt answer my question of WHY they cancelled the account before i was even able to use it, i got this response:

"Unfortunately, this decision is not up for review. Please know that this is not a judgement of the legality or validity of you personally—it’s a difficult, risk-adjusted decision based on obligations as a regulated entity and to our financial institution partners."

long story short- i believe they are newly un-interested in individual, small-time users, and only want big businesses/users where they can make more money off of fees. there is no other explanation for why they would not allow me to have an account, as a FIRST TIME USER! they also cancelled my boyfriend's account without reasoning or explanation. if i could give them zero stars, or better yet NEGATIVE stars, i would.

starstarstarstarstar Who the hell only spends $25? That's the amount Coinbase will only allow from my bank account for purchases. They recently increased it to $100. Oh fucking boy. I'm moving on to another bitcoin bank.
