I sell about 15k in bitcoin every week at Coinbase. Withdrawal is processed immediately and I receive the funds in 2 days.

Fake reviews all over the place! Coin base is the only exchange with insurance coverage up to $250,000 for us Americans! As good as a savings account really. They have created what seems like a professional relationships with lots of US Banks, and they make it easy to buy your first coin. I'm also a big fan of Charlie Lee's recommendations to be cautious so please do so! So far after an intense two or three weeks of nubes (which is great actually) opening accounts and causing massive congestion at ALL the exchanges, I've decided that most all totally suck and need help. I think a ton of Americans have come online recently, especially at coinbase over the past few weekends and make buys on Saturdays and Sundays., which pumps prices up a little (also good solid stuff),. But then Sunday nights around 8pm, which converts to about 9am Monday Moring in Asia, around 1 million Asians start to perform sells, sucking their tiny profits on .000000001 bitcoin (and others) and creating huge volatility. I've done my homework on four or five the exchanges. Most likely the same four or five most people are looking at. ALL SUCK! And then also, After watching the day traders (mostly the whale type who spread their coin buys and sells for profit -cant blame them - but watch out!!! I've learned that the scams lie in wait on the trade platforms. Learn how to read them and watch-out for those whales. Anyhow back to my review, It took a solid 10 days to get FULLY verified at coinbase. another few days to get familiar with reading things properly. Lots of youtube videos on how to read the exchanges, GO WATCH THEM! I have slowly put in tiny amounts of US dollars via my (insured, highly secured, with extreme fraud watch levels) credit card, to me its like playing penny slots for most. I suggest you do the same. During the later end of that verification I decided to link my bank account (My wife freaked) and I plan to test a small withdrawal from my coinbase US dollar wallet back into my bank account. This test will determine the future of my crypto activity. What's the point to all of this if you cant convert back into fiat if you want. Inflation rates may force all of us to do, watch that too this coming year. Plan to keep most coins I buy for a rainy day when I retire. Hope crypto is still has the legs to do so in another 30 years. Who knows? start with pennies I tell you. What ever you would place as bet in a casino is exactly what you should be considering here.

Wow! After reading so many other similar complaints as to those I have experienced I am wondering if Coinbase really is legitimate. I have been increasing my expenditures with them weekly and now have a substantial amount invested with them, but it is useless since I am now locked out of my account and no way made clear as to how to resolve the access issues. I verified with them, but then they wanted me to increase security and do further verification that could never be completed for several reasons. Their process is not user friendly, laborious and so far the only offered support has come from a very inadequate robotic chat. This really is feeling more and more like at scam than it is a legitimate company. I hope I am wrong and will return to rate higher if I find a timely resolution to my issues. I am a legitmate customer and as a couple of people have claimed these negative reports were false, I can assure anyone that my complaints match those of the majority here and I am very real.

The only issue with coinbase is the delay to purchase because a lot of people are now having the bitcoin fever. Obviously all the bad review here are from scammers who want to lure you away from using coinbase.

I can not recomend Coinbase at all. I released a transaction from my bank account to Coinbase 11 days ago and I still have not seen the money. Therefore, I can only warn you to use this platform. It is based on criminal activities. The only reason for one star is, that cero stars are impossible.

Similar story as other folks here, phone died and lost the app. No device is allowing me to complete the re-authentication process; it fails or doesn't complete every time. Coinbase email support is useless, basically asking me to try the same failed processes and frequently contain misinformation. It appears the multiple class actions are being initiated over similar issues, lost transactions, account lockouts, poor customer service etc. Do NOT use Coinbase, it's great when it works but apparently very risky.

They have essentially frozen my account because of so called verification issues and my money is stuck there in limbo. After at least 20 attempts over the past week to get support to answer any of my emails I am left with only legal action to simply close my account and invest my money elsewhere.This is a scam.

I am very aggravated with coinbase, customer service is terrible. i was charged 18% sending BTC which is way more than any fees stated on the site. i am having other issues i would like resolved with my account but i have found it impossible to receive any support despite the multiple support request i have put in.

Worst thing to ever deposit even a penny worth of your hard earned money. They have been holding my 9K worth of bitcoins from moving to another blockchain account under the curtain of busy network bs. Worst experience ever. The commissions they charge are top notch but the service is drain level. Never again.

BEWARE! I have had a deposit sitting in pending almost 1 month. I have sent 5 request for help. No respOnse! 5 hours on the new phone support line ..no answer EVER. I need my funds for xmas. Are they just going to steal my money! Forget the thousands in gains I have lost. I Just want my money back. I NEVER THOUGHT THIS COULD HAPPEN. COINBASE WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY BEWARE.

Anybody out receiving the same problem as I have? Whenever attempting to logon to my account at Coinbase.com, I receive the following error message: "This request has been rate(d?) limited. You are making too many requests to our servers from this computer, please wait an hour and try again. If the problem persists add a Bug Report. Sorry for the trouble!" I have not been able to access my account for nearly a week.

I opened an account 5days ago and bought some LTC. All of the verifications went through and got a confirmation regarding my sale. 4 days later still processing and unable to sell because my coins were not deposited into my account. Tried to contact them via chat and keep on being sent over to the help page. This company is unrepeatable at best.Better beware and look into another exchange.

I originally attempted to register with the cellphone app, putting in all necessary information. Each time - about 6 attempts spread out over almost 2 weeks - I would constantly have to go through the same steps until it either locked me in ID limbo or if that got through (only one time mind you), than I would than get stuck in payment verification limbo.The last attempt was directly on their website (not through the app) to see if it would have better luck seeing as I am given the additional option to upload photos from a jpg. Same result...failed verification.
I noticed other potential users having the same problems based on many of the reviews. The other thing I noticed were the conveniently placed "outages" when prices were at their highs.
This shit is extremely phishy. This company is not the future for digital currency exchange...it has failed that "verification".
On a side note: If digital currency is supposed to be decentralized, why are you forced to go through a central hub (exchanges) that control buying and selling, and can lock accounts. This is still centralized.

I've been trying to send money to Coinbase for over 2 weeks now, I've missed many opportunities and lost any sense for patience. This has been a hell for me with coinbase. First I sended money to their website in the wrong currency, which was my mistake but to get in contact with them was living hell. After I though I should give it another go, I sended a fairly large amount to my account and havent recieved any confirmation or anything in that direction. Im starting to get scared that I might lose my money for good. They are not responding to any customer on twitter and Ignoring all the people with their issues. Right now Im looking for an alternative because I cant bear it any longer and am also looking to take legal actions against them.

My experience with CoinBase wasn't terrible at first. I was frustrated with the initial deposit limitations and the timeframe to increase those amounts, but I understand that I suppose. What's absolutely terrible is the time to confirm token purchases (my Bitcoin purchase took 10 days to clear) and the inability to move/sell your tokens with any urgency. I have Ether in my wallet and I'm simply looking to move it to another exchange to trade AltCoins, or even offline to my Ledger, and the order time to facilitate that is 4 days, apparently for "security reasons." I've been trading previously with them, have my identification cards previously submit, and have multi-factor authentication in place. Why the extra four days when I've already agreed to use Authenticator to prove who I am and successfully authenticated the transaction? So now with Ether sitting at an all time high, and some other currencies on other exchanges priced attractive to purchase, I have to wait while the prices completely change. This isn't a cash out, it's simply processing the request to send my tokens to another address or offline to a cold wallet. They have a process where you can attempt to expedite the order, but that's just an absolute a joke. You load two photos and take a real-time selfie and it never gets approved. Always fails. Come Friday when I hope to get my Ether back, I'll be terminating my account with CoinBase, assuming I can actually login to the site since it's often unavailable. These guys won't be in business long with these service levels. The big banks/financial institutions are gonna see all the nice fees CoinBase is getting and stand up their own exchanges that are designed from the beginning to scale properly rather than trying to add staff and the capacity to manage/scale their system. I've been happy using Gemini as an alternative even though they don't trade LiteCoin. Also use Binance for AltCoins and have been happy with that exchange.

Coinbase is not a credible company. They don't let you buy when prices are low ('we are doing maintenance') and don't let you sell when they are high. Then they don't give you a straight answer when you ask if your purchase went through (no email verification) but then all of the sudden they put it through when prices conveneniently get lower. In another instance they took my money already out of my bank account, yet cancelled the transaction for no reason at all, when prices went up. When I inquired about it, to make matters worse, they then banned me from buying again. I want to make it clear: There is nothing wrong with my transactions or my verification of Identity, it is all Coinbase making up stuff. Go to Coinmama, Kraken or Bitstamp, Coinbase are fraudulent and I hope they will be caught. Oh I forgot: They tell you you have a $ 10,000 limit that then gets reduced to $ 10 for no reason at all. Do not go with Coinbase
