Just “lost” a dispute of $1000 worth if bitcoin. My bank processed the transaction, moonpay “declined” the transaction and it the money was moved out of “my” wallet. My bank tried to help but they said they cant do much since the funds cant be tracked and i didnt purchase a physical item. Moon pay is a scam.

I have had an issue having 2 payments failed yet clearly having moonpay on my statement charging me for the funds. I've been told to wait 10 business days and the money will be returned......it has now been 20 days and I'm told it's not longer in their hands but in my banks. Customer service is pretty bad with constant auto responses or copy and paste scripted responses. This last experience has left me feeling very frustrated and lost. I don't know where the money has gone and moonpay has clearly washed their hands

Moonpay rejects approved bank card transactions. I've tried 20 times and still no success. They say it's the bank that rejects the transaction, the bank says it's moonpay who keeps sending the monies back to the card. This webdingy sucks.

Moonpay is definitely a scam. I learned first hand. They take your money and say they're "processing" your payment then they decline your purchase. They say it takes up to 10 day to have your money refunded. After the 10 days they tell you its your banks fault and refuse to give you your money back. If you call their number it just tells you to email them. When you email them you only get bot responses. I was scammed by them and lost money that I probably won't get back. I hope some people see this so they don't fall for the moonpay scam too. Edit: most of the reviews on here are fake.

SCAM ALERT! This just happened to me: I attempted to purchase $500.00 crypto. The verification process was taking hours. My bank contacted me inquiring if I made this purchase, I replied "Yes" through text message. Hours later I had gut feeling that something is wrong.... A Google search of Moon Pay revealed nothing but fraud and scam reports. With that, I called my bank! So what do you think happened next....? Yup, Moon Pay issued three recurring payments without my authorization!! I put a stop payment immediately! What a pain in the fucking ass! Fuck Moon Pay

I have just lost $858 to Moonpay. Despite my transaction being declined , the money was still taken from my account . And it’s not a preauthorisation as the company claim . The money has been withdrawn. All attempts to contact the company have failed , the standard automated replies are sent each time . Definitely a scam , I would avoid having anything to do with these people. We live and learn

I've done business with this company to buy crypto numerous times before using my debit card. I tried to do a purchase about 3 days ago and I received a message saying that I had exceeded my daily balance. The last purchase that i did was for $3000 and it was in my checking account so it went through with no problem. After waiting 2 days I contacted support and they sent me an email saying that my account was closed. I don't know what I did wrong and the email basically said that the decision was final and that they wouldn't provide any additional details. I was not given any chance to correct anything that was done wrong. No explanation either. Terrible customer service.

if i could give negative stars i would.. i brought 400 usdt tether using moonpay as it gave nice exchange. unfrotunately it was too good to be true and walla i was suppose to get 398 around usdt but i got 357 rest is all hidden fees!! while i put the issue up at their website the second i put my request up for issue , it said status sloved ??? its a scam in bigger scale ..

Account closed for no reason, and no explanation. While trying to make one purchase, I get an alert saying I’m over my daily limit of $0. I email support and the response I get is that my account was closed due to a deviation of the terms and conditions. Also that the decision is final and they won’t provide any further info. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life, completely unprofessional, I don’t think they know what they’re doing.

I bought cryptos 3 times through Moonpay. The transaction worked twice, three times it failed, but the money was debited from my account. No refund after 5 weeks so far. A support ticket has already been opened several times and so far only automated emails have been received that one should wait 10 business days. The suspicion of fraud is absolutely obvious here. So be careful when buying through Moonpay.

I have used Moonpay reliably for most of the yearFor multiple purchases. Yesterday, my attempt to purchase was declined using my debit card that I had used at least 5 times earlier this week for purchases. I was given a reason that my daily limit has been reached. I attempted to contact support with no response. I followed by attempting with 2 other cards with the same result. I contacted support again asking for an explanation and how my daily limit could have been reached when I had not had a single successful transaction within 24 hrs. I was given the same generic reason with no other explanation. Several hours later I received an email from a support person with an actual name “Roger” who was very polite but informed me that I had deviated from their terms and conditions and my account would be closed. No explanation, no understanding, no instruction to correct, shut down, closed case.
I am not going to call the company a SCAM because the service has worked in the past, but there is a clear misunderstanding of how to support an existing customer, as well as a poor clarification between choosing service security /protection over business/service support for a reliable verified customer who regularly does business with your company. Simply, the communication is non existent. We all know businesses function to make profit, and these guys are no different. However, from my experience it is clear the policies in place are in fact very poorly thought out and are not ideal to build a customer oriented safe and secure service for individuals to purchase crypto. They are in place to protect themselves.
This is in fact why everyone has basically gotten zero helpful support with issues. These issues are scattered across the internet. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but these guys have earned it. :) have a single star on me!

Every attempted scam that I have experienced first hand and personal namely, ONECOIN, and a prime video scam. OneCoin scammed over 2 million people for 3 billion dollars and each time Moon pay was part of the program. They should have known that ONECOIN was a SCAM. I lost like everyone who wasn't part of the scam. Recently someone tried to steal my crypto by scamming me and they were used MoonPay to assist in the attempt.

It seems i one of a long list of peeps this company has had issues withmine was was odd one i contacted them through safemoon wallet informing them i can purchase crypto they then asked for a pic if me holding card then they sent a message that i broke terms ??? and locked me out
as a precaution i immediately cancelled my card as this seems to me as a scam
i would be very careful with this company i sure they could drawn cash off my card

Terrible customer service that they will need to improve if they want to stay in business. My identity doc was expired so I couldn’t purchase which is totally okay. Then 2 weeks later I get an email saying my account is closed, the decision is final and no further assistance is provided. Take it from someone in the NFT industry and avoid Moonpay.

Made one $30 purchase through Moonpay and the fees were almost $10. But even worse: they sent out impersonation scam Emails pretending to be other Crypto brokerage companies phising for personal information. Would not use them again under any circumstances again.
