UpdateIn business since end of 2007, VirWox is today the the leading independent exchange for trading virtual currencies, both in terms number of users (about 100,000), and trading volume (2012: 29 million Euro / 38 million US$).
Currencies traded are Linden Dollars (the virtual currency used in Second Life), Avination's C$, and the Open Metaverse Currency (OMC). In April 2011, RED PAY LINE started accepting Bitcoin and enabled to trade bitcoins for Linden Dollars (both ways), which are in turn convertible to EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, and the other virtual currencies traded on VirWoX.
Other payment methods (deposit and withdrawal) include PayPal, Credit/Debit Cards via Skrill/Moneybookers, NETELLER, paysafecard, Ukash, SOFORTbanking, and bank transfers.
VirWox is run by the company Virtual World Services GmbH, which is located in Austria. The service is available in five languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian).

Is there a zero-star rating on here? Because that's just about how bad VirWox is. After reading through all these reviews I really feel terrible for everyone because I went through a similar experience. I deposited $30 USD from my Canadian PayPal account (exchange rates are ridiculous!) and the money was sent right away. Oh and did I forget to mention that you also have to pay a deposit fee on VirWox? Anyways after that I exchanged my USD money into SLL (just another way for them to charge you exchange rates) and then I exchanged the SLL I had into Bitcoins. I then withdrew my bitcoins into my bitcoin address and they ask that you wait 48 hours before the transaction is completed. I waited 48 hours and all I got was an email telling me that they had refunded my $30.00 USD into my PayPal. At this point I was so confused and checked my PayPal, thankfully the money was refunded! Although, my VirWox account was disabled.. I was lucky to have received my money back, but this is a warning to anyone else wanting to use VirWox that you will most probably be scammed!

Redpayline is a scam.I transfer 20 USD to account i made there in exchange for Bitcoins, but they cancel the order.
When I asked them they said they gonna send the money back in 4 days, but I never received the money.
Its a scam!

never trust this website at first they will give you a try of the service they have after 2 tries of converting money and sending it via Paypal and my bitcoin account the third was a nasty trick that revealed their true activity, stealing money from anyone. There's a notice that they are using that if you are a new use of the account that you created with them they will manually check out the progress of sending your bitcoins but after the 48hours the bitcoins will never be sent to your account but of course to their own purse.This is a scam site and never to the same mistake.
They did this thing to me just this 29th of MAY 2015. Better be warned

This company is terrible. They can only allow you to put so much a day and they after you put so much a day they will not allow you to add anymore money. You have to wait 30 days before you can add more money. The smount you can deposit a dry is $88 which is ridiculous . Don't waste your time with these people.

have paid 30 euros though Virwox to buy ACD (C$ for Avination), they disabled withdrawals to Avination and suggested me to exchange my ACD to SLL and got 728 L$ (means 2 euros), lost 28 euros.
They said to me:

illiquid, which results in a huge loss when
selling ACD. Yes, 12127 ACD are currently
worth only 728 SLL, because there are almost no
offers to buy ACD.

WENT thro these guys after watching several Youtube vids and thought they were reliable. Placed a small order for 50 usd which went thro fine. Then i made 2 bitcoin transfers which said i had to wait up to 48 hours for the transaction to be completed. After that time expired and my coins were not transfered i emailed them asking where my coins were. With in 5 min i got a response saying they refunded my transfers and closed my account due to suspicious actuvity. .. Said it could take 7 days to go back on my card. Absolutely bullcrap and worthless company. SCAM SCAM SCAM. I BETTER get my money back. 50 bucks is 50 bucks! Companies like this are just worthless

You mentioned "FAST in OUT". Here let me tell you guys that's not true so PLEASE STOP FAKE ADVERTISING, SAVE THESE POOR PEOPLE READING THESE REVIEWS THEIR MONEY AND TIME. 10 transaction this month and 4 hold of 48 Hour of withdrawal, that's 8 freaking days and it's all deposited from the same account i used last month. SO PLEASE PEOPLE use brawkers/purse.io or just deposit into your bank and its 20-30% cheaper from virwox pricing. I'm a victim now for the "FAST IN OUT CRAP PEOPLE ALWAYS MENTION WHICH IS NOT TRUE. so 8 days of 20 days using it i got my BTC IN HOLDING and all they can reply is this "Hello,as clearly stated in our FAQ, we reserve the right to delay any withdrawal by up to 48 hours.
I can assure you these delays have their reason, and we will not change the rules just for you.
I have is a simple solution for your problem: buy the BTC at least 48hours before you need them. If you cannot live with that, yes, please stop using VirWoX.

These people are absolute TRASH. Do NOT under any circumstances deal with these reprobates. If you dare to voice a concern with them, they will shut down your account and claim they have refunded whatever amount of money they are holding hostage. They are lying. They will not refund your money. Not a penny. They will stop responding to your emails and act like you've never existed.
