starstarstarstarstar Absolutely disgusting support. I accidentally sent my Everex tokens to the Ethereum wallet on HitBTC. The following has been hell. Lets begin:
Raised a support request (ticket 45336) on the 13th via my account. No one bothered to respond until the 19th, after I requested an update through the public support channel.
Once I posted on public support (twice), got a generic response saying that it would cost $100 to withdraw (fine) and if I would like to proceed, and proceeded to close the tickets on the public support channel.
Advised I'd like to proceed but pay in Eth if possible. HitBTC said that's fine, and they will get back to me soon with more details (still the 19th).
22nd - Followed up asking for update. Was advised that it needed additional investigation and had been escalated to second level support experts and flagged as high priority.
24th - Followed up. No response
26th - Followed up. No response.
28th - Followed up. No response.
Shame because I like their UI, but it's starting to sound like it's all a big scam and my tokens will never be credited. It's an ERC20 token that was sent to an Ethereum wallet, should not be that hard to credit to the right account. At this stage, I don't give a damn about paying in Eth, take it out of the Everex tokens I sent in. I just want this resolved.
Will update with new information as it comes to hand, but until this is resolved, I can only suggest that people STAY AWAY from this exchange,

starstarstarstarstar Most of the 5 star reviews you'll read here are from fake accounts. HitBTC scammed me - worked fine until I changed phones and needed to reset my 2FA. After multiple e-mails exchanged, the support just dropped off the face of the earth. Absolutely rubbish site, trading is hard enough without further risk.

starstarstarstarstar Another one scammed by HitBTC reporting in. Lost $5000 worth of crypto. My balance just disappered from my account. There are tons of people everywhere on Reddit, their support forum, Bitcointalk etc. who have lost their money either in the way already described, deposits not arriving, withdraws being witheld indefinitely, 2FA activating/not working anymore, passwords changing, accounts locking up. You name it.
All in all, HitBTC has gone 100% scam. Do NOT use it.

starstarstarstarstar Have had 4k$ tied up at this exchange in an altcoin, cant move the coins between my trading account and my personal account and cannot deposit or withdraw those coins, the problem has been persisting for over a month and I only got a canned response of our engineers working bla bla be patient. all is fine.
I have written off my altcoins as a permanent loss, but I want to write this review to help avoid others be involved with this scam exchange.
This exchange is a cancer. They work hard on accepting deposits, and adding new altcoins, but dont want to resolve any tickets for withdrawals,
Basically they want your money and dont want to give any back.
Avoid this exchange unless you like financial theft and irrevocal loss of your funds.
There are plenty of other more reputable/reliable exchanges with a range of altcoins to trade on.

starstarstarstarstar ****
$44,700 STOLEN.
**UPDATE 3rd NOV 2017**
**HitBTC being served with subpoena's**
This will be my last update. HitBTC has completely scammed me, they reply publicly and pretend to be resolving the issue, or say it's resolved or to check the ticket, it's a lie. They use any mistake you make, a trading one, an account profile one to steal your funds, they stole $130K USD from someone else, I have in excess of 40 messages on my Reddit account of victims from HitBTC.
I can no longer further comment my lawyers are commencing legal action on Monday against the known serviced addresses, and shell company addresses, in an attempt to get the real owners behind the operation. We are also applying to a judge to have their bank account frozen, we believe their bank should hold KYC information on the actual owners - not fake nominee directors, that is the hope.
Once we have this information my lawyers will be perusing arrest warrants for all the directors it doesn't matter where they are in the world HK, or DK, where-ever they are my lawyers have offices and I am perusing this, client account funded.
**If you are thinking about using HitBTC, don't you will loose your money**, just do a quick Google search, they skim money on the side if you use the API, or outright steal from you should you loose your 2FA, email address, or anything else. AVOID THEM. No registered address, and serviced addresses with no license to operate, WHOIS hidden on their domain. They are complete scam, yes they may list tokens first, but don't get lured in use a trustworthy exchange I have lost $44,700 as a result of this, they reply to tickets, and just road block you - asking for one thing after another, non stop road blocking. My money is lost, but you have a choice you don't need to loose yours too, dont use the exchange, HitBTC is a SCAM.

starstarstarstarstar Never use hitbtc. They are scammers. They stole money from thousands of folks. They blocked and did trading with btg and nem. I am yet to get my btg and nem from these idiotic, unprofessional, idiots. They are incompetent to the core, do not answer support questions.
Fucking robbers.

starstarstarstarstar Hello everybody !
I have been invited to testify about my situation with HitBTC.
Not long ago i decides for security to chose to implement the 2FA authenticator on my account, a few days ago.
Everything was working normally until HitBTC denied me access to my account for no reason. No more access to the account, yet the secret key has not changed, and I have not changed the way I use it, the backups codes never working.
So I chose to contact support via e-mail and their forum, I also contacted by Facebook. Now the problem is that support makes fun of me; They asked me to authenticate my account by sending them some transaction numbers about my HitBTC account, which I did very quickly. They recently told me they wanted to help me by turning off 2FA on my account, telling me they would warn me as soon as it was done :
20 November 2017
"Dear Trader,
Thank you for the information provided. We will contact you right after 2FA will be removed from your account. Thank you for your patience.
Regards,

Then I received a message saying to me
21 November 2017
"Dear Trader,
The issue you reported requires additional investigation.
We have escalated the issue to our second-level support experts and flagged it as high priority.
We will keep you posted on the progress.
Regards,
Paola Balzano
HitBTC Support Team"
And this morning (22/11/2017) :
"Dear Trader,
Thank you for the information provided. We will contact you right after 2FA will be removed from your account. Thank you for your patience.
Regards,
Marguerite Tessier‍
HitBTC Support Team"
They never answer your questions and send only automatic messages.
For me it's a mass scam
