UpdateA hosted web-based E-Wallet used for sending, receiving and storing bitcoins. This is not to be confused with the data structure in the blockchain which is also named coinbase.
The service aims to be the easiest way to get started with Bitcoin. Its service is modeled to provide an experience familiar to those who are comfortable using PayPal.

Site disabled from 13pm - midnight yesterday. Today, just a soon as BTC dipped below 10k: >We expect buys and sells to be offline for 1-2 hours. 5 hrs later. Buy and sells for BTC and LTC is still disabled. No updates on twitter, e-mail or on their website. This is becoming unacceptable. Would not recommend your service to anyone!!!

DO NOT use Coinbase for any reason! I have a personal Coinbase account and recently opened a merchant account for a business I own doing $20M+ online yearly. After a few transactions to our merchant account, Coinbase set our buy/sell at $0. So, we did not collect any btc for transaction and we could not refund the btc back to the customer, because we never received it. So the customer is told we have the funds even though we do not, Coinbase does. The management team should be shot!

Everytime ther's a huge price drop, the whole site goes berserk. You will keep getting errors and what not. It becomes super slow and buggy. This will not get any better until the prices go back up which there is no point in even using this shitty app. Stay away and use Circle, cheaper fees and no fucking issues whatsoever.

1 Star is the only option, if not I would give -5 , they suck and they still your money. Don’t use them at all, unfortunately there is no reputable way to purchase crypto currencies yet, these companies like coinbase are thieves in it for the temporary money, soon they will run with your money guaranteed.

Signed up 2 months ago and finally got SEPA payments setup and three payments went through with some delay.... but all good. Over the past 5 weeks I have made several deposits and all have been rejected after 2-3 weeks and the funds returned to my account. It's soooo frustrating when you want to trade but you have no money.....

Exchange fees are not at market price. They take huge margin of your buy and sell values. Dishonest.

Trying to validate my drivers license. After 1h of invalidation and reuploads it seems to have worked for bank transactions, but not for creditcards, is this a bug? Also, the website upload acts buggy as hell. Not trusting my money with this one.

Doesn't even deserve one star. After more than THREE WEEKS i am still waiting for my SEPA payment to be credited to my Euro account. Their Support email was worse than insulting in its totally uselessness

I'll reserve the right to eliminate the one star for another few days. After 2 other attempts to get customer service help get my I'D verified I'll give them one last try. No responses in 2 weeks isn't acceptable. Uploaded I'D game to their site sideways, so took and sent sideways which came to them horizontally, but my ID failed. At least was able to get my $$ out of there. Have read other horror stories so likely won't do business with them anyway

Worse trading site iv ever used won’t let me repost my money took money of me when I haven’t traded bad site pluss 500 is much better I still got 100 pound in my account added 2 accounts and won’t let me withdraw quick enough take your money never give it you back !!!!

Coinbase is a nasty fker site that drops malware on your pc -- everytime you logon. you get a malware and a pup. two just for good hacking on their part. fidelity is stupid to inter-op with them to display balances. i'm looking for new alternative wallets and exchanges that don't try to be a wolf in sheep's clothing. this is truly a shit and piss operation to pull crap like that.

Coinbase is preventing sell's and the whole service seems shady.Even if they use high traffic as an excuse it is kind if remakable i can buy but not sell.
I was hoping the problems would dissapear but after almost 1 year of usage i can truly recommend NOT to use Coinbase.
Why would you use this service if you can only lose money most of the time?

I would not even give a single star. They are thieves. No problem taking money bet trying to get my money back is proving to be very difficult.
