Coinbase is a nightmare! My account is locked for NO reason, I can’t access any of my investments/coin that I’ve already bought, and I can’t buy/sell. But the worst part is the runaround that they give you - I’m told to go to customer support except they let you know on that page that they’re not answering many emails due to an overload of traffic, and you can never get anyone on the phone. So you’re just screwed. I hate coinbase!

If there was a 0 stars rating, that's what they would get. Took them seconds to take my money. Within a day my account access was blocked. That was over a week ago. They must have an automated email response, because it never changes. Absolutely no customer service. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Nothing but thieves.

I honestly believe that Coinbase is a scam. I had the same experience as everyone listed in these reviews. There is a fake customer service number listed on the internet to contact Coinbase; they call themselves Coinbase Cheap Side. They will answer the phone quickly and ask for you to share your computer screen to help you. DONT DO IT. They stole my money! When I contacted Coin Base it took 1 hour to speak with a representative and they froze my account. They NEVER got back to me and have ALL MY MONEY. I cannot access my money or account because it is frozen. Horrible!

I spoke with a representative by the name of David Hopper with global expert. He told me that he will be refunding my money back from when the company fixed my computer. I paid them 539 for a one year service. He took me to coinbase where i had to create an account which asked for a photo id of the front and back of my license. I created the account. He then proceeded to do 4 transactions..Before the transactions, i had 800 dollars and some change in my checkings but then He did a transaction for 1.33, 1.38, and one for 1.00... He refunded the dollar back in my account but when i checked my account today, it doesn't even show where he even took the dollar out yet alone refunded the dollar. I check my account again to see that it was now 798 and some change.. I kept monitoring my account and notice that my account went from 798 to 698..I asked David about it, he said that they were going to refund the 100 dollars when they refund the 539 which would bring the total to 639.00 that they were suppose to refund me back. He then proceed to ask me about my wiring information so they can wire the money to my account. So i went to my account to Wire and Transfer so i can be able to wire money. I told him that it said i need to add a recipient to send the money, so the money would be coming out my account. He was like no, we just need your information and then we will type in our information with Bank of America to wire the money back to you..He told me that i couldn't access my bank account for atleast 48 hours because it will prolonged my money getting wired to me... I checked my account lastnight,everything was good but this morning when i check it was at 57.20. with an ongoing while transfer pending for 639.00 from my account to them... The customer service for coinbase sucks .. Waiting almost 2 hours for somebody to pick up the phone and still get no answer.. Constantly emailing them but no reply back.. This is money i have lost and that im trying to build up to pay towards my wedding,. I'm going to my bank and report fraud

Brian Armstrong is actively rooting against bitcoin core. Coinbase is spreading FUD and spamming the mempool to apparently ensure bitcoin core fails. Brian Armstrong recently retweeted this message:“Bitcoin Core dominance below 33% and dropping fast as hype is passing. Market & news catching up with reality of a hijacked project and unusable currency, which has over 70% of its addresses stuck with funds that can’t be transferred out due to high fees. Expect dethroning soon.”
Yeah, we can expect dethroning alright. The dethroning of Coinbase as the top crypto exchange. Bye assholes

Forcing KYC to get my BTC, I never agreed to KYC when I joined and they never notified that it would be mandatory and then they stopped allowing withdrawal out of the blue with error you have exceeded your limit when I was not even close. STAY AWAY Big Brother.

Stay away if you are new to crypto. This company is not being honest and forthright with its customers. Fair warning, do not wire money to Coinbase. They claim 1-2 day for Fed wires. DO not believe this lie!!!!I wired in money over a week ago. No hint, confirmation or anything that I will ever see my money again. Forget about any resolution through their so-called support system. Hell will freeze over before they ever get another dime of mine. If they had any credibility what so ever they would have stopped people from wiring them money if they could not process it. They take your money even knowing that it could be weeks or months before you see it.Thats a dishonest company who is willing to take your money and not tell you that who knows when you may actually see it again. Fair warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I set up an account, bought a couple coins and then wire them $7500. The next day they locked the account and after several phone calls and broken promises to escalate with many emails a month later I have no resolution. It appears the only way this is going to get resolved is through a class action lawsuit. An absolutely horrible experience! I’ve contacted a law firm !

I had 500€... aaaand now it's gone! Not knowing better, I opened a Coinbase account and made a SEPA transfer for 500€ there. That was two months ago. Their support does not answer, their phone support is just an endless automated answering machine.
Stay away from them like the plague! I don't know whether it is theft or incompetence and don't care, but chances are you'll lose your money!

Coinbase is sh1t. Knowing nothing I joined coinbase . They have excellent marketing but absolutely no customer service. Good luck if your coins go missing or if your account is frozen. Apart from those issue it is the most basic exchange ever with tons of fees. Total crap. Avoid Coinbase like the plague. They suck!

It’s a great idea, but there are some short-comings. It takes money from my bank account within a day of my order, but takes another SIX DAYS to credit my Coinbase account... and the fee schedule isn’t small enough to rationalize it with respect to that. They only have four coins and two of them are kinda garbage. Ethereum is the only one I really buy, because transfer fees are lower than BTC and it’s very exchangeable on other exchanges. Pros- it’s easy to use... pretty intuitive.
At the end of the day, it’s fine, but if there were someone else with the same thing and shorter bank-to-exchange transfer times, I’d use them instead

My CoinBase account was compromised back in mid December. I have emailed them and called weekly. They blocked me from my account and opened a case. Now when calling and waiting on hold for usually 20 to 40 minutes I get told my case has been escalated to specialist, critical priority 10.Three weeks later I have heard nothing from them. I called today and was told the same thing, "Your case has been escalated to specialist critical priority 10 and will get back soon"
Coinbase has over 10K of my money and I can't get anything out of them. How long does it take to review my account and get back to me? Over Three Weeks and nothing!

Hey everyone I give Coinbase a four star. Reason no perfect system. I've been with Coinbase since December 2017. Meeting the required proper IDs for my own protection ,.I have had no problem transferring, withdrawing,..Sure at times they are slow and pending on transfer and or withdrawal. But that comes when a new system is introduced. Be patient and take time to learn the system. And they do get overload.

Bad service stay away if no want lost time and money. Tried buy ripple by months never accept pictures of my id, now i can buy in 1 single day by EVERCOIN problem now ripple is 2 usd and up so i lost money cause the sh1t coinbase.
