UpdateA hosted web-based E-Wallet used for sending, receiving and storing bitcoins. This is not to be confused with the data structure in the blockchain which is also named coinbase.
The service aims to be the easiest way to get started with Bitcoin. Its service is modeled to provide an experience familiar to those who are comfortable using PayPal.

@geoff - January 23, 2018 when you added the account by putting in your login credentials for your bank? If that is what you did that didn't work try a manual add. Go to settings>linked accounts>link new account. Instead of clicking on your bank type "Other" or "Other Bank" in the search bar then use rooting and account number. You will get to deposits which may come in immediately but they could take a day or two to show. When you enter in the amounts only put in cents. So $1.09 just put in 09 or $1.17 just put in 17. That should get you up and running. Happy Tradingš

I just got an email from Coinbase asking me to verify my identity. Their security is absolutely ridiculous if they will use email addresses from lists being bought and sold on the dark web.

My Coinbase account was breached hacked. In contacting them they blocked my account over 2 months ago.I call weekly and am told my situation has been turned over to a specialist as critical, priority 10 and a specialist should get to it soon. The support person cannot do anything.
I want my money back!

I have an account at Coinbase using my credit card which provides some security. To have a full account you need to provide them with your logon bank credentials and password; anyone who does this is insane. They can now do whatever they want with your information including open/close accounts and possibly leverage opening existing accounts in other institutions. They will most likely have your SSN from your bank account profile. To verify a US bank account you need only an account number and a routing number not your password EVER!Customer service is basically robotic there is no human intervention or the ability to get an answer to a none stock question. Try "why do you need my bank on-line password".
Unfortunately, there are not many choices out there.

I sent Coinbase a wire a large sum. This was reversed by Coinbase. This was approximately one month ago and I have yet to receive the wire back. There is no one to speak to it Coinbase. They send me generic emails.At this point I am filing a complaint with the state attorney. Buyer beware of sending any money toCoinbase in the future.

Total Scam, AVOID AT ALL COSTSThey have no customer support, no means of contacting them, they have a phone line which is no longer in use, yet they still advertise it and you cannot withdraw money from them once its been deposited.

TERRIBLE! Complete scam. I have tried numerous times to use my Bitcoin to pay for services in the past two weeks and there is always a problem. Today it said partial system outage...!? God knows what excuse they will use to keep my Bitcoins next week. Going to take them to court soon.

I have been waiting for three months to get my buying limits above zero so I can buy. No customer service at all. They do not answer phone. Emails come back with evasive non-answers to the questions I have. I would not trust them with my crypto coins or money. If you have a problem, its just about guaranteed they will not get it resolved. I will be going elsewhere.

accidently locked my account, been nearly a month now and I've called multiple times to have my account unlocked by the "tech specialists"...no good. multiple calls do absolutely nothing when problem solving with the coinbase phone reps; as all the seem to do is "file an email to be spent to a specialist"if you're filing an issue make sure you tell them to bump your priority status to the max (because apparently this is a thing they have...but who fuckin' knows at this point.)
the support is so awful it's offensive.

I tried setting up SEPA transfer with coinbase early December and it has been a complete disaster - Iāve lost several hundred pounds in transactions, numerous emails from the service āteamā with no resolution - they are totally incompetent- I have got to the point where SEPA has finally been set up but when they agreed to refund some money they paid it back into the wrong bank account ! So someone else now has my money - this is a complete joke! So now I have told them where they can shoe it and Iāve joined another organisation - take my advice do not go anywhere near coinbase !!

Coinbase only allows $250 per week transfer in or purchase through checking account, $50 buy limit per week on debit card. Limits increase after SIXTY days. So no real way to get money into coinbase. Wire transfer they quote as 9 days (nine days for almost instant wire transfers?), but MANY horror stories of wire transfers not fully going through and getting hung up for weeks. Totally useless service if you have to wait 60 days before you can really do anything. I'm listed as verified, they've got all my bank info, picture of my ID, etc. etc., still can't get money into coinbase to buy currencies. I'd stay away and find some other way to buy and store coins.

I had opened an account with counbase Jan 2018 itself. Bought Etherium, LTC and BTC for few thousand dollars.. After a week i rcvd the coins. Gaining confidence i bought BTC worth $5000. Then on 25th Jan i transfered LTC and BTC into my othe wallet, as BTC worth $5000 had not yet arrived. In few moments my account was disabled giving the status of "Account disabled temporarily". Talked to support yesterday over phone after geting ther number. To my amusement i was told somebody called and said this account has been hacked, so coinbase put a temp disablment on my login. I tried to explain that no compromise has hapoened. I have user id, password and 2FA security on my account, but the guy on other end was not ready to listen. Although i m received the mail after disablement of my account that BTC worth $ 5000 has arrived in the account but m not able to login.. I like to ask them. A person has login id, password and google authenticator code. Even after that u r saying the account has been compromised ? Plz open my account., i dont need any password reset, i have everything intact.
My small son needs a transplant and i put in the money so that it will multiply by $ 1000 or $ 2000 in few weeks. I m in a fix.. Seeing my son i have nothing expect to see him dying.. I have in total invested $ 8000 in coinbase so that i may add few more thousand dollars to it. But i lost the money for treatment. Plz somebody help me for Gids sake.. I beg plz enable my account so that i can get back my money for traetment... Plz Plz Plz coinbase..
