its scam - avoid at any cost. I wire money on 9/30/2017 its been 21 day and my money did not show up on my account. I am starting legal action against company. AVOID IT!

How this Scam works is that they make sure none of their withdraw options work, sending them money is fine.So as soon as you sell them bitcoins, or buy bitcoins, you are paying them 20% commission, they lie about how much commission you actually pay. but since you cannot withdraw currency from them, they never actually need to have any funds on hand, they just charge you 20-40% commission to connect users. They force you to pay commission twice by either making you spend all your funds on bitcoin, or forcing you to buy the bitcoins back you just sold while losing %40.
You can never withdraw money from them.
Report this to whatever government agency deals with fraud.

I wouldn't say I’m 100% satisfied with the exchange, but I never had ANY problems with depositing my money. I mean, there are some things that annoy me - I’m one of those who waited about a week to get verified... But I’m using it for a bit less than half a year and made at least 5 deposits that went good. It’s not a scam.

Don't use cex.io.I have been trying for 5 months to withdraw money, they tell me now I can't withdraw money, and have to pay them commission again and buy the bitcoins that I sold back from them, and pay them another 10% commission.
They are lying scam artists.

I first use CEX io because of the theorical Lower fees. Whis is in fact true... I get 0% commision when using a bank transfer. I did not have any problem with delays, just be a little patience and you will have your money. Just the same as veryfiyng your identity, in 2-3 days everything was done, efficiently.
HOWEVER, there are hidden fees, my friend. There is a 7% commission fee when you buy BTC. It is difficult to find.
I honestly consider this as "bad practices" and given that Bitcoin is a matter of TRUST, I encourage you to think twice before buying in CEX io, and provoke more mistrust in the bitcoin community.
I rate 3/5 because it is definetly not the WORST exchange.

How the fuck is this site still up and running. I tried to withdraw money from the page twice, guess what happened both times? I was charged that amount from my bank account. Good fucking job fucktwits. Then they go on to say that its my banks fault, but its clearly not.

If I could have awarded negative starts I would have!! Buyer beware: I have had a horrific experience with CEX.IO. The have a spread when buying and selling BTC which all exchanges have and is normal, but then they charge you about 7% commission on top of that. I sold my BTC and then requested withdrawals to 2 banks, they showed sent on August 24th. 2 weeks later I received the smaller one, it started out as $848.00, they deducted $50.00 for a wire fee (way higher than any other exchange, that should have left $798.00, but I only received $717.00, $82.00 less than I should have received, they claimed that my bank charged me fees, but I checked with the bank, they showed me proof only $717.00 was received, so what I was told by CEX.IO was completely false.
My second wire for $3,036.00 never arrived, they kept on making excuses and then today, 6 weeks after the supposedly sent me the wire the refunded the money into my account, they said without fees, but my $3,036.00 refunded was only $2,927.00, $89.00 less. In order to get my money out, I bought BTC, which again cost an exorbitant commission, which I was forced to do based on their failure to send me my money that they claimed they had until they refunded it to me.
So of my original money of around $4,500.00, I paid them over $600.00 in commission plus $50.00 for the one wire plus $82.00 and $89.00 short on y wires so I ended up being charged over $821.00 in fees which is almost 20% of my money.
I strongly caution people to not use this exchange unless you are ok being ripped off.

Terrible company. Don't do business with this outfit. They going down and will take you with them. They stole all lightcoins from accounts (if you didn't remove them by some date). They offered mining service where you purchased rights and those were just completely worthless. Lost a bit coin or two trying that crap out. Don't Don't.

CEX leads you into the application process without warning you that credit card verification may take "some days". Their stated reason for this is that they are experiencing high load volumes. My thinking is that they are under-resourced, even though high volumes should mean that they are making more money. This is a sign of a business which may be unsustainable; the other comments I am seeing only serve to heighten my suspicions.

I have found a new exchange, https://www.coinswitch.co for crypto-coin conversion. They fetch rates from multiple exchanges and allow me to buy at the best rate. They reply promptly on chats. I tried it once and my query was resolved in minutes. You people can also try this.
