Can say it's legit. BPAY is not exactly does any fast deposit but it works as like the other BPAY, can see it's get deposited around 10~11AM next business day. Trade interface is not exactly fancy at all but it works and reliable as far as I can tell.
Not supporting mobile app is a bit of burger.
Also criteria for increasing maximum deposit amount is not transparent at all.
They definitely have some automated hidden rule applied for this.

I am now into my 9th full business day waiting for a bank transfer to appear in my account. I have checked with my sending bank and they assure me the funds were actually sent. This is now the 5th business day since the first of my two "help" emails was sent, with so far only the automatic reply. This is not how to conduct business. Previous experiences with BTC Markets has been patchy - some ok, but it seems slowness is the order of their day.

BTC Markets is probably the worst exchange I’ve dealt with. Absolutely appalling customer service! Have had my account locked for weeks with a substantial amount of crypto sitting in it. No way to get it out! Have also a large BPAY deposit not registering in my account and again no response from BTC Markets. The most frustrating thing is the lack of acknowledgement of emails which leads me to believe they’re understaffed or scammers! The directors need to step up and take ownership of the mess they’re in and sort it out!

I generally do not put review but out of curioisty I thought of checking the reviews of BTC Markets and I am little surprised to see bad ratings, I think it's because good reviews are less.I have been using this from past 2 months at least . BPAY deposits have been fine they hit my account in 1-2 business days (as they have published), yes during the new year they got delayed by 1 or 2 days because of bank holidays which is understood.
BTC Team always tweet with the latest updates.
I have never had to email them for anything and earlier today I was surprised to see the fast speed of withdrawal, I raised a withdrawal request this morning at around 10 AM and the money hit my account at around 3 PM. I have only had flawless service. Keep doing the good work BTC Team.

I have accounts with Coinspot and Coinbase, even tho they have their flaws its nothing compared to BTC markets. its attractive to join BTC markets as they have lower fees but be warned you get what you pay for, I was locked out of my account for no apparent reason, I have reset my password 3 times with no success, I have sent support the information 4 times with no reply. My account is fully verified.I still do not know when this will be resolved. Atleast with the other exchanges they reply to my questions and get back to me. I haven't heard anything from BTC markets at all.. I wouldn't recommend this exchange to anyone, especially with how volatile the market is, if my crypto currency goes up 40% and I want to take my money and get out I simply cant, I understand a couple of days due to high traffic, but weeks? this is a joke.

Do not use this exchange!!! Scam artists!!! I have been waiting for a nearly a month for a large Bpay deposit to hit my trading account. Appalling customer support! They will not repond to your emails! Keep away from them!!

My experience with BTC Markets was great. My account was verified and active within minutes, depositing AUD took 2 business days but the delay is likely caused by the banks as it's common across Australian exchanges.

They are legit, and bpay is convenient, but damn they are expensive, 10%-15% higher cyrpto prices than other exchanges and transaction fees. I put in $4000 in, and instantly transferred to an exchange which had the crypto I wanted to trade, and basically my initial $4000 was worth $3450. OUCH. I don't recommend them.

not sure why I'm seeing terrible reviews for btc markets (fishy). I have been using them for almost a month and my experience has been flawless, so flawless I have not had to contact support yet. I signed up in 5 minutes (verified using my voting address 3rd party option), deposited money via poli payments instantly and purchased bitcoin and ripple with 10 minutes. I mean all the 1 star ratings are either fake or from people who have no idea what they are doing.

Absolutely seamless process so far. - Once I signed up, I verified my identity via my driver's licence number, this was done instantly.
- Got an email confirming I could send/receive tokens a few hours later
- Sent a test amount of ETH to my account, this took 8 hours due to being verified on the ETH network
- I am now sending slightly larger amounts.
- Slick user interface
- They are proactive with complying with anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing laws (AML/CTF in Australia) - which is a good sign.
- Can't really think of any drawbacks, so I give it a 5 star rating.
If you are considering using this & are looking at reviews to evaluate, I would advise you evaluate the REVIEWER as well as the review. A lot of these people giving a 1 star rating seem to be simpletons. You probably know the type, they don't research things properly and blame everyone else for their problems. They can be spotted by their poor grammar, spelling mistakes and lack of detail with their reviews (btc took my money, stay away from them, you have been warned etc.). I would advise you completely discount these reviews.
Consider the technology that you are using (blockchain: very new), and consider the service that BTC markets are offering (the ability to SELL tokens, something that Coinbase does not offer) and realize that BTC markets are offering a very valuable service to Australian customers.
Would recommend this service. By the way, I am not affiliated with BTC markets, just giving an honest review. Plus I am sick of idiots blaming other people for their problems.

Within a hour of opening up the webpage I created an account, got verified, transferred money into my account and bought crypto.Been with them for about 2 months now.
I do remember reading a option to get a letter sent to me via mail which did say it’ll take up to 10 business days or put my mobile number in and get a password texted to me instantly to get set up.
Thought the instant password was a no brainer.
