starstarstarstarstar They will hold your money and you will not get them back even if you send them KYC, proof of funds and your personal data!!! Beware!!!

starstarstarstarstar Have been waiting for 46 days to be verified. Since then, I have registered with 6 others sites that I'm sure run better than BitStamp. What a joke. IF I ever get verified, I will NEVER use BitStamp.

starstarstarstarstar I have been requesting a transfer since December 7th. I have sent 5 emails and called the only phone number I can find. Almost 2 weeks later they still have my money and I have received zero response. This company is a scam. Do not invest with them! -Paul

starstarstarstarstar A joke of an exchange. Been waiting for 20 days to get verified and I've still heard nothing. Followed up, still nothing. In that time I've managed to register and get verified on 5 other exchanges. Try Bittrex, Bitfinex, or Binance.

starstarstarstarstar Not recommendable at all. Since 11th of december to clear my € 5K SEPA deposit out, and no answer from support, twitter, facebook. Even, no answer to phone calls. It is being the most frustating deal in my life. I just want to get my money back, and forget them. I hope not being part of platform affected by Bitstamp fraud...

starstarstarstarstar Very slow and without good support. I'm waiting for weeks to make a verification. Stay away from it!

starstarstarstarstar I have a bad opinion about bitstamp. For me it's the worst. I am waiting for me to check the documents for about 3 weeks. I take tickets and they never answered me. And they consider themselves to be the best. where? loooool... the support is the worst I've ever seen. I do not even mention the problems that have happened recently. Finally. Do not waste time with bitstamp

starstarstarstarstar Same as so many others here. Utterly horrible experience with these monkeys. Deposited 50k two weeks ago and no sign of the money. Multiple emails and calls are left unanswered. Customer service is non existent. to Bitstamp: If you complete amateurs cant handle the traffic STOP doing business!! I am concerned about my money now and will see what can be done to force these people to act.

starstarstarstarstar Hi, I would like to tell my chilling experience with BITSTAMP. I had an account verified about 3 months ago. Deposit via wire transfer, $ 25,000, and I buy XRP. Since I make a drawer, I do not do anything except enter every so often into the account. On November 9th, I deposit another $ 30,000 to buy ethereum, on November 13, customer service tells me that the money has come and is being processed. Since then the money on my account has never arrived, and yesterday Bitstamp sent me the attached mail telling me that the account is TERMINATED (I'll find out then on google that happened to a lot of people). Yesterday I was still in the account (it was just frozen) and sold all my XRPs without my permission, so on the account there was the equivalent of about 29,000 euros (the $ 30,000 first never arrived). So I try at least to reclaim the money on the bill, but the transfer is refused. Today I have completely deleted the account. Morale: Almost 60,000 euros lost. I've written everywhere: on their facebook profile they have removed my posts, on twitter and by email they do not respond. I'm traumatized because I then searched on google and it happened to so many people. The only thing I can do right now is to post this message and hope it's shared. #bitstamp

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any further information on the reasons leading to the termination of your account due to our internal policies.
We have instructed our Payments Department to proceed accordingly. Once the transfer is finalized on our end, we will let you know by replying to this email.

Best regards,

In other words, I do not tell you that you rule you have breached, I close the bill and sell you everything, because I decided it, and so many greetings.
THANK YOU #bitstamp

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
##################################
Here is my personal and final opinion on the story. I noticed that the thing that unites all the "finished" is the inactivity of the account. I suppose whoever keeps money on their account, but does not trade and therefore does not make it, it "unnecessarily" consumes the assurances that BitStamp has to give on deposits, watchdog. Of course, it would be enough to write in the conditions that dormant accounts are terminated and send an automatic email message when that is to come. It would save figures like this, as well as doing something illegal. So since they do not explain in the conditions page and do not give explanations by email of the closures, my personal opinion, and I repeat, PERSONAL, and #bitstamp is going to fail. REPEAT, PERSONAL OPINION. If the money is back, be sure you know it after 1 minute

starstarstarstarstar Easy enough to get verified but trying to deposit money is a nightmare – they use simplex a third party CC processor which is a red flag right there and who are also liars stealing money. Next tried depositing directly from my LLoyds account and they held that up and then claimed it was a thrid party and unacceptable – even after sending further proof!! They then stole money on the return of funds. Fake office in London/ Slovenian crooks. AVOID THIS EXCHANGE

starstarstarstarstar Have used Bitstamp for many years. Good site, fast, and seems secure. Located in Europe too.

starstarstarstarstar This is an update to my previous review this week.
After escalating to Legal & Compliance, finally Bistamp understood the issue and restored my USD as due. I have revised my personal rating for them therefore.

starstarstarstarstar An interesting story about Bitsamp to share with all the investors/traders. I did a USD deposit as usual from my USD account this Monday morning. I have also filled the optional deposit notification page to bitstamp to let them know funds were coming.
Account to funds: USD
Funds currency: EUR (I mentioned wrongly Eur as their system defaulted with Eur and I did not pick that. I wanted actually to select USD)...however,
Comments: In the comments I clearly mentioned funds come in USD and I specified the bank name, account number and the USD amount.
Same day in the afternoon, Bitstamp uses a very bad exchange rate and converted my USD incoming funds into EUR without any such conversion been asked by me.
I clearly mentioned Account to fund was the USD and the funds came anyhow in USD. Their system got confused as I did not change the Currency of the deposit funds from Eur (that is defaulted) to USD (but did mention in the comments section USD X Amount deposited).
I launched a support ticket and only 2 days later, I get the rejection response to my request Bitstamp to credit me in USD as funds sent originally to them. Excuse was their system got confused on the Currency of the funds to be deposited that was mentioned Eur (unacceptable as no matter how funds are sent in what ever currency, the currency to FUND in my Bistamp account was correctly mentioned as USD-hence no excuse for this unsolicited conversion).
This is a clearly unsolicted n illegal financial transaction from Bistamp on the burden of the customer. Had bitstamp been a retail bank, such thing would immediately had been restored and the client may even had received compensation for the stress and trouble caused. Even the bank may have lost its license for such gross problem caused to the client or malfunction and if not, for sure would have paid regulatory penalties had the client launched an official complain.
So as of now, I am left with very few Eur in my account (due to the bad rate bitstamp applied) despite sending funds in USD to fund my USD account as always and despite my instructions to reverse this credit and turn it to USD...
Will contact the regulators in Luxembourg with all screen shots and see what they reply as for sure this is an illegal unsolicited transaction and we should not let Bistamp treating client funds in such irrisponsible way. There is a compliance framework when a financial transaction should be triggered. No way such transaction should be triggered if the client has not agreed or solicited such. There is a serious regulatory breach here guys.
If Bitstamp later justify my dispute, I will update here

starstarstarstarstar Bitstamp s seems to be one of the most resilient and reliable crypto-exchanges out there.

starstarstarstarstar I came across Bitstamp one year ago and since then I have been using their service most of the time. I like Bitstamp's internal navigation and tradeview. In general everything seems to be easy to find. I can also trade BTC on the mobile app which is pretty awesome for the cryptocurrency exchange. Good service, very happy so far.

starstarstarstarstar Bitstamp is a SCAM!!! DO NOT USE!!!
I deposited $5000 USD into my account, and it has been in the "In Process" status for weeks despite many support tickets and phone calls that never get answered. A few people I know told me after the fact that they lost thousands with BitStamp. This should tell us something, if a so called "Major Crypto Exchange" cannot afford proper customer service, do you really want to put your money in it?
Again, no legitimate company will accept customer's money without providing support. SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!!

starstarstarstarstar Never had a single problem with Bitstamp! But I am able to understand that all the exchange sites are probably hard at work since the freakin' coin traffic got INSANE this year. If only I had bought more in January XD...BITCOIN 4 LIFE!!!
And F%&K carrots!

starstarstarstarstar Bitstamp is one of the most reliable and trustworthy crypto exchanges out there.

starstarstarstarstar I made a transfer for them more than a month back, still my account is not credited, they ignore support tickets, even complaints email, they do not have an office in London as they claim, now in the process of filing a lawsuit on them in Slovenia.

starstarstarstarstar I sent Bitstamp £2000 and to cut a long story short. They lied about receiving the money, blamed the 'lost' money on their bank and then refunded only ~£1800 of it back. They claim that the fees were charged by their bank but I wasnt doing business with their bank, i was doing business with bitstamp. I I have countless unanswered support tickets, the ones they did answer were basically saying that they dont care that their failure to provide their service has cost me money and they have since blocked me on twitter and ignore any subsequent tickets. This company are unreliable and dont value their customers. Coinbase, when their mistakes have cost their customers money, refund them out of their own pocket. These jokers just blame their bank and ignore you. They'll be out of business soon, a quick google around will find countless other people who've had exactly the same problems I have. Scam artists.
