I bought bitcoin from this company some time ago. I now want to sell and have been trying for months to get help, as the instructions on their website are inadequate. Every time all I get is the automated acknowledgement from the help desk computer, then... silence. The phone number is a call-back service. I left a message and... silence. All I want is to talk to a human being for a few minutes. But I get silence. They have no office address - only a P.O Box, otherwise I would front them personally. Are they a figment of their own imagination? Don't trust them!

This company is a scam and taking peoples money, it been over 2 weeks and im still waiting for my coins. I've contacted ASIC and fair trading about this company.... I suggest everyone else do the same...

There communication is designed to intentionally slow funds transfer.Even after full disclosure and verification as a first time user they send a message that funds have been temporarily held for 24 hours to await 'verification from the bank.' this is for your securityThe money was transferred by thePOLI system a two step verification system that transfers money within 6 hours ( EFT can be longer on some occasions)and they have your drivers licence verification.When questioned via email a different response was suggested, being that the money was being held for 24 hours for the usual EFT transfer time.These reasons are obviously different the result though is the same they hold onto your money for 'security reasons'.
One can only guess why they hold your money illegally for extended times ( I am still awaiting my bitcoins to be transferred 2 days after EFT )but this is a crypto / ic industry after all.:)

Same problem as everyone.... Don't deal with company, they are a joke. They don't respond to emails and the phone service operates on a call back.... left messages and sent multiply emails via the so called helpdesk!!!

Used Bit Trade for a few times last 4 years, no problem when paying cash into their bank account. Been waiting a week and a half, very limited response to my enquiries. Use www.independentreserve.com

Bit trade took my money ($700) and never delivered the bitcoins. That was months ago. I have the emails to show that the funds were received by bit trade. They have not answered my emails to the help desk and don't answer the phone. How can I come to any other conclusion than I have been scammed? My advice is to never use this site.

That is 9 days total & 6 business days.
The only response to my inquires was "Usually first time transactions take 2-3 business days to complete."
So because it was taking so long, I went somewhere else so I could actually have the present on time.

That actual ID verification took 2 hours longer than it should have because I stuffed up with providing the requested documentation.
5 1/2 hours total, including my stuff ups & including verification that I am who I say I am.
So why such a huge time difference between the 2 companies? I wonder how much extra time with BTA was because of extended holidays around Australia Day?
Bad form guys. Waaay too long for a relative straight forward transaction.

Hi All,We would like to respond to some of the comments posted on this thread, as we take all service criticisms and concerns very seriously.
Generally, when there is a slow response to the specific type of issues raised here, it is due primarily to strict compliance and AML procedures that must be followed. Unfortunately, there are instances where good people placing legitimate orders do get caught for an extended verification or processing time.
Whilst this is extremely inconvenient and frustrating, in these rare cases there are best practice compliance rules we -must- follow. Otherwise, de-banking of the the new Digital Currency industry will continue. As you all may be aware, banking services for Bitcoin companies are variable at best in these early days.
By taking these actions and implementing procedures reflective of those administered by traditional financial institutions, we are helping ensure access to Bitcoin and the digital currencies in the long-term. There will inevitably be points of delay and frustration for some customers placing orders on occasion.
Please be assured we make every effort to respond promptly, and appropriately, to customer service inquiries once our compliance and security procedures are completed.
Our delivery rate of Bitcoins remains 99.3% on target with out stated turn-around timeframes.
