UpdateANX Bitcoin Exchange is a trading platform for buying and selling Bitcoin, Litecoin and Namecoin in AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NZD, SGD and USD currencies. The exchange was established in 2013 and is legally registered and based in Hong Kong. ANX was one of the first Bitcoin exchanges in Hong Kong to be issued with a Money Services Operator (MSO) license by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department. The trading engine is built upon the LMAX Disruptor technology used by banks for their foreign currency exchange (FX) trading. The engine was designed to handle high volume, high throughput, and low latency trading. The exchange has a favorable reputation for promptly processing deposit and withdrawal requests on a weekday daily basis.

ANX Pro is a bad joke. They were an obstacle to success at every stage. When exchange choices in Asia were limited in 2016, I lost months of opportunity while BTC tripled: went through the ANX verification process (by post!) under false expectations only to learn the truth that they no longer accepted bank transfers! Nightmare. So they couldn't even sort out a bank account in free-market Hong Kong. Useless. Waited until I was on a trip to Hong Kong and carried a wad of cash in.Later they offered the choice to send in cheques; I'm HK PR and changed my account to a HK address; their Support people swore that I should now see the cheque option on the deposits dropdown and refused to believe I didn't - a classic chain of brainless non-support emails and a defective website. So that wad of physical cash was my only deposit, and I later moved the BTC it bought to better exchanges.
Now the weasels have announced a US$12.50 monthly "account maintenance" fee; close that account. If you can't do anything right and grow your business, I guess you have to sting your captive suckers.

We know exchanges have to comply with regulations such as KYC and AML.But ANX verification is invasive and outright humiliating. They require that you pose holding your ID next to your face, as an inmate would pose with a number next to his face.
I am no criminal and do not accept being treated as one.
Needless to say I left their site to never come back once I saw this ridiculous requirement.
