SCAM! I've been waiting 2 days now for my Bitcoin to return after shifting it from ETH > BTC.. NOTHING!No reply from support, no coins. Jaxx even deleted my transaction history on ETH wallet ot hide it.. I think Jaxx and Shapeshift are trying to scam us.

Tested this shapeshift in Jaxx with .01 Zec to Eth exchange. When receiving the eth in two minutes it lost 47% of its cash value. When reverting back to Zec a half hour later the remaining balance in Zec was .004757. The market wasn't moving much during this transaction which means this service is just a pure ripoff. Luckily I tested with a minuscule sum of coins. Just do the work to convert them yourself in an exchange.

brought some bot coins and put them in my jaxx wallet,used shape shifter to change them to etheric coins,
the etheric coins ended up in the wrong. address ( I think it was a shape shift account address) insteas of my jaxx etheric wallet.
went to the shapeshift customer support website

(I'd been given in jaxx wallet transaction)
and ShapeShift Deposit Address( the freezing address my etheric coins ended up in)
finally I gave my etherium wallet address to deposit the eterium coins into
within 24 hours the coins were in my eterium wallet.
I believe shape shift have some problems with their API being used by 3rd parties such as jaxx, and I have notified them of the negative feedback they are getting, so hopefully they will sort it out as it is causing customers a lot of anxiety

Recently Shapeshift have been very good. Accidentally sent 3000 XRP to the exchange when the max allowed during the exchange was 200 XRP. I thought I had lost it but luckily the shape shift team were nice and refunded the whole amount. Not the first time this has happened. Usually very good service.

I used Shapeshifte.io to convert my Litecoins to Bitcoins for storage on a wallet. Around $15 as an experiment, after fees and everything said and done, I received $7.00 in BTC. I could have used another exchange and paid a hell of a lot less than these scammers. I will never use them again.

An exchange of ETH to ETC took 27 minutes, not instant. Very laggy, got around 80% of displayed exchange rate, could be due to delay.

Total crap until they fix their server issues.

I feel all the one star reviews were the users own stupidity. I have used shapeshift for over ten months without a hiccup. I've made tens of thousands of dollars worth of trades (USD) in ETH, BTC, and XMR. My only complaint is when I shift my XMR they transfer for about a 3-5% undervalue. This makes day trading less lucrative. Also if the transfer takes an hour the coin value you attempted to trade at changes. This can also make you loose out on potential profits. I now only trade if the fluxuations are higher then 10%. If the transfers where faster and closer to coinghekos projected values I would give it 5 stars.

I dunno what's happening to some of the commenters below but I've never had a single problem and have used many times. Same with a bunch of my buddies. Fees have been high once or twice but not that bad. I tend to default to "user error" being the issue with most complainers who comment in such a way. Maybe don't send so much at once if you aren't sure about something?

This website and his owner are SCAMMERS.According to Erik Voorhees, exchanging cryptocurrency on his website is like buying t-shirt on Amazon.
It's normal for them that if you wanted to exchange big amounts of crypto, you wait for up to 3 days because they are having technical issue ALWAYS when you want to exchange big amounts, so you lose thousands of dollars in conversion rate on "instant" exchange where "instant" means waiting for 3 days or more to receive your money!

Warning; stay away; it will cost you time and money and stress. ShapeShift itself is a very unstable trading platform that has "Lost" my coins 3/4 of the time and taken huge efforts to get them back. That is extremely stressful. At this juncture they "lost" over $650 worth of Coins and have promised to return them, said they sent them and had failed transmissions. An app is only as good as the exchange. I am still waiting. If I could give negative 5 stars I would.
