Very poor security, my account was compromised and bitcoin emptied. There was no tracking of IP address and when the hacker logged in to my account no security email was triggered. I am so sad and pissed. Coinhako where is the insurance and security u promised?? A simple service of email verification upon unrecognized device was not provided! U caused me to lose a lot of money. Stay away!

Forgot to provide my Xfers account when withdrawing and they helped nothing.Worst customer service I have ever seen!
It takes them forever to reply the email and there is no other way to contact them.

Chronology of a failure:- wanted to try to use to buy bitcoins
- Sent 1000 SGD in
- Got credit to my account
- Saw the BTC - SGD exchange rate, and compared with BTC/USD * USD/SGD
==> Turns out that their rate was 20% HIGHER than the market
- Wanted to send back the amount to my bank : BUT, they posted message that this service would be stop after 2 days: proceed to make the transfer anyway
- 2 days later : funds still not out, and transfer not possible anymore
FAIL #1
So, was left with no other choice than well.... buying bitcoin....
- Now, wanted to get the hell away from this SHITTY LOOSER website and send bitcoins to BITTREX
- Made the send order, and input the whole value of my BTC
- Auto-deduct 0.0001 BTC fee (fine but after f***ing me so large already..)
- And then, I end up with still remaining 5 SGD worth of BTC in my account, which I CANNOT SEND to bittrex due to amount too low to cover the fee
- So, CoinHako ends up keepings this amount which I have no way to move out ....
FAIL #2
- Oh, and this website will by-default open for you an account to a weird - shaddy website that claims to transfer funds ( WITHOUT asking your consent AT ALL)
- And now, I keep receiving SMS and ads from this website.... without any way to log in to that website to cancel /delete my account

So, I would NEVER EVER USE this lousy service again

Some startups have issues but try to overcome, and they don't rape you that obviously
But CoinHako : wish you guys bankrupt soon, thats natural selection when you provide such a lousy service

Haven't received credits after making a fund transfer more than 4 business days ago. What worst is they do not reply you and that leads you to nowhere with no answer.

Price quoted can go up to sgd 20 higher than popular exchanges, you will always make significant loss when you buy/sell

I just wanted to try them out by transferring a nominal sum of S$550 which is just enough to buy myself a single ether. And they conveniently decided to credit S$500 into my wallet, which is $50 short of what I transferred. Takes forever for them to reply my queries and rectify the error. This matter is still pending till now. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never use them ever again.

Poor services and may at times delay your BTC transfer for a day or more despite paying high transaction fees of more than $50 USD, causing you to lose opportunities. Go for other exchange instead, eg. FYB-SG or Luno.

Dont use coinhako their fees are terrible and their buy and sell spread can go up to $30. Save yourself some money and go to other exchanges. Do some homework and calculations before deciding which exchange is right for you.

Has not been able to deposit RM for a while. It takes such a long time for the exchange to resolve the issues.

Been a regular on the site since the start. I guess price is fair considering the 1-2% banks charge them for FX conversion. Malaysian Ringgit will incur USD/EUR> SGD > MYR conversion, so factor that in. The convenience is really great if you are going for the high upside. As a daily arbitrager, i also notice huge spreads during volatile periods - not just for coinhako

High exchange rate loss. Considering the transaction fees, it is a double whammy. Very poorly suited brokerage to take advantage of short-term price movements. Not recommended.

Customer service is really bad, I've sent multiple emails for clarifications but didn't receive a response. Their rates are higher than others and have a high exchange rate loss, so trading in local currency has no advantage.

Now the deposit facility from Malaysian bank accounts have been temporarily held up. This makes the service no good experience. Yes the Service desk is good in response and acknowledges mails in a day usually.

Liquidity a real issue. Really difficult to buy at peak (out of stock??) and scares the hell out of me if I had to dump in a rush. My advice is if you need to use it, load up and then transfer your BTC to an exchange with greater liquidity such as Bitfinex etc ...

I have been using CoinHako from Malaysian for a few months plus now. Pros:
Banking in funds into your account is easy coz they have a local Maybank account,
depending on the time you deposit the funds, it appears soon after 10 am and 4 pm daily
Buying and selling bitcoins is a breeze , usually completed in 10 seconds
Added second level security with 2FA, which is a must to have
Cons:
Not sure which bit exchange their live quotes are based on but it seems to be always 5 to 10 USD higher than that of coinbase exchange
There are 3 prices quoted USD, SGD and MYR, somehow the MYR price sometimes doesnt jive with the USD prices.
They are reasonably responsive to queries via email. Usually within a day or two. Am generally happy with CoinHako so far. Havent tried to withdraw yet, will post a comment about my experiences when I do.
