starstarstarstarstar If I could give a lower score i would. Absolutely the worst customer support and I use the term loosely, that i have personally ever seen. My online poker company changed over to payouts only through Bitcoin. So we are forced to use this site. I withdrew 1000, it immediately dropped to 950 within the first day. It took literally 10 attempts to verify my bank, each time taking between 1 and 4 days. They now have my banking information, which is probably a very bad scenario waiting to happen. its been 1 month and i still have not received my transfer to my bank. Pretty sure i will never see this money. Of course customer support is no help. I called my online poker company and told them that they are going to lose a lot if not all of their customers if this is our only option to get paid out. Hopefully my post will help

starstarstarstarstar DO NOT USE COINBASE. DO NOT USE COINBASE. DO NOT USE COINBASE.

It is a horrendous service that does not process your payments at all. I bought Bitcoin in 2013. I went to sell it in December 2016. Here I am in January 2017, STILL unable to process the sale. My bitcoin has been returned to me TWICE after selling it and receiving multiple confirmations that the sale was successful. Bitcoin prices are now below what I sold it for originally.

THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS.
THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO SUPPORT TICKETS.
THEY HOLD YOUR BITCOIN AND DECEIVE YOU BY TELLING YOU THEY SOLD IT, ONLY TO RETURN IT ONCE THE PRICE IS LOWER.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ANYMORE. DO NOT USE COINBASE. AT ALL. WHATSOEVER.

starstarstarstarstar When I logged into my coinbase.com account, I notice all my BTC and ETH and they used my payments info on my account to buy $1200 of BTC and took them out of my account. I told them I was hacked and they was like we can't take a lost and disabled my accounts. The hacker even found a way to bypass the 2fa I had called Authy; now 2fa isn't safe using Authy they can hack that too. Stick to Google and most companies shouldn't use Authy as 2fa due to this exploit.

starstarstarstarstar Coinbase deducted my account twice for the same transaction even thou the unique id/address was identical. Been trying to get my money back for a month. When support does respond they give me the run around, deferring me to the merchant. Merchant says it's impossible for the system to credit them the money with the same Id. So wtf happen to the money?? Very sketchy company with the worst support I've ever seen anywhere. Beware and take yout business elsewhere

starstarstarstarstar 1. Their process of getting verified was a nightmare. I had to rely on their app and it crashed. They wouldn't offer any alternative means to verify beyond their app and told me to simply 'keep trying' until it works. I almost gave up. What felt like 100 tries later and I was finally able to purchase, at that point it's something I used as a last resort if circle (instant) wasn't working vs. coinbase which took a few days.

2. Their customer service is horrible, not friendly, and lack care or concern. To confirm clarification with their privacy policy I asked them a question, they redirected me back to the privacy policy. I told them it didn't answer my question, rather than try to understand it or clarify further, they simply stopped replying. It was quite a common thing to ask them a question via support and receive service that didn't answer the question or that was to put it quite frankly: rude.

3. Unhappy with their service, and with the IRS wanting to know every little detail about the users I decided to just leave despite having nothing to hide (was uncomfortable with the breadth of the request). I closed my account but coinbase keeps your data and yet says it's impossible to reopen your account (at least Circle that if you close your account they keep the data and you can reopen it). Coinbase won't let you. That same month changetip AND circle shut down. I was told by Circle to go back to Coinbase. After how I felt treated and with all the risks involved I decided not to be 'pushed' into their corner and walked away.

This has left me hunting for alternatives before the next market crash. So here I find myself looking at cex.io, and other exchanges to fill in the gap.

Another note is that like Circle, coinbase monitors all of your transactions. I only ever used it to buy and then would immediately send it to another wallet I controlled with different addresses or shapeshift into something like Dash or Monero. They nanny you watching what you spend it on, porn, gambling, your kids presents, it's just very big brother like, more so than an average bank account so another reason why I stepped away.

starstarstarstarstar I wish I could give them zero stars. Decided to finally put my toe into the bitcoin market and signed up for an account with Coinbase. In order to transact, I need to add my address. ADDRESS MUST BE A RESIDENCE. Address is a residence. ADDRESS MUST BE A RESIDENCE. Ok let me try another address. VERIFICATION TIME-OUT, TRY AGAIN IN 24 HOURS. Ok great. 24 hours later... got it in, approved, credit card and bank account linked and I can buy bitcoin! Oh wait, my limit is only $100. Ok upload ID to increase limit... Opens a fucking worthless piece of shit FLASH APPLET. Upload ID, upload ID, crash. Start over... crash... start over... crash... start over... crash. Open Android app... crash. Now the Android app won't start unless I verify it, but the verification email contains a link to another god damn fucking flash applet that Chrome will not allow to run no matter what I do. I disabled the native flash blocker in Chrome, my extension, and specifically allowed flash plugins to run every time, and this flash applet is such a piece of shit that the ghost of flash blocking rises from the grave every time and blocks it. So now I can't use the app, I can't buy more than $100 of bitcoin a week on their worthless site, and I'm pretty well fed up at this point. What an awful, absolutely terrible and disheartening introduction to the world of bitcoin. Fuck this company. Who the fuck builds a platform, to trade cutting-edge cryptocurrency, on obsolete tech like Flash.

starstarstarstarstar Horrible, I get set up to buy bitcoin but there not allowing my card to go through even though my bank account is linked...so I go ahead and get my exact address shown on my billing statement from my bank and it still doesn't work so I message support and they SHUT DOWN my ability to buy bitcoin in the process and when I message them again through support they closed the case without even responding to me...I don't get a response for 2 WEEKS so I message them again and they say they cannot tell me the reason why my buying status was shut down but I can still use coinbase as a wallet... Are they stupid? After all of this, they expect me to use their service?

starstarstarstarstar I never believed in love spells or magic until I met this spell caster DR. LUKAS which a friend of mine told me about on (LUKASMORALOVESPELLGMAIL.COM) he is really powerful and could help cast spells to bring back one’s gone, lost, misbehaving lover and magic money spell or spell for a good job or luck spell .I’m now happy & a living testimony because the man I wanted to marry left me 3 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down because our relationship has been on for 3years. I really loved him, but his family was against us and he had no good paying job. So when I met this spell caster, I told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him. At first I was undecided, skeptical and doubtful, but I just gave it a try. And in 8 days when I returned to Canada, my boyfriend (now my husband) called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married. I didn’t believe it because the spell caster only asked for my name and my boy friends name and all I wanted him to do. Well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got the new job and our lives became much better. His email is [email protected]; you can also contact him for help. I wish you good luck.

starstarstarstarstar too expensive, too slow, too many damn fees, first off all there's a fee for deposit and withdrawal and second of all they change the price of the bitcoin by about 10$ to profit them either by increasing it when you buy, or lowering it when you purchase, HUGE SCAM.. STAY AWAY!!!!

starstarstarstarstar not user friendly ...

starstarstarstarstar I ordered a product from a company. The company shut down without sending my product. Coinbase said they can do nothing about the situation. Coinbase has made no effort to help. I would not use them again. You are better off using PayPal. PayPal has better business practices and ethics.
