A fixed-price currency where bitcoins can be bought and sold.

I have been using canadianbitcoins.com for few months now and registering was easy, the system does work and they seem to be legitimate and well organized. However there are some very negative sides to this company. They price gouge, differences between selling and buying price is huge and it doesn't reflect the current market, but I understand they have to make profit. The real issue is with following: 1. If your are paying through online banking, they don't process it for at least 3 busines days and they adjust price to the day when payment is processed. They do make that disclaimer, but still very unethical and shady way of doing business. For example the day I purchased Litecoins, their price was $124 per coin, they processed transaction 3 days later and charged me $140 per coin, I could understand adjustment of few dollars but $16 is basically a legalized robbery. 2. If you are selling coins, it takes them one full week to pay out money to your bank account. Again, very shady and unethical practice. If you have no other choices you may do business with them, but I will definitely be shopping around for better broker that honors the price on the day I decided to make purchase, which is also the day I sent the money to them.

It was a very frustrating to try using Quebex exchange services. I never got the video chat requested. I never got a call back for increasing limit of funding. I lost over 50% trying to withdraw to an other wallet: Since you are only allowed to withdraw half your bitcoins in one transaction, my wallet showed zero BTC left after the first withdraw. Scam and theft. Quebex shouldn’t be allowed to manage exchanges.

Can't get support from these guys. Waited 3 days (so far) for a confirmation to buy. I managed to speek with one guy to explain i wanted to invest... And he didn't even get back to me. Now I am just waiting for my 7 days of screening to be over to withdraw my BTCs. Look somewhere else.

Terrible customer service. Jumped through *all* the hoops, providing all my personal information, such as voided cheque (twice), credit check, telephone confirmation, etc. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT YOU CANNOT BUY BITCOIN USING BILL PAYMENT THROUGH TDCANADA TRUST. Also VISA branded debit cards WILL NOT WORK because they have nothing to do with "INTERAC ONLINE". It would have been nice had Canadian Bitcoin said so up front! Called to complain and ask that all my personal information be deleted but the staff there has no soul. Rubbish.

Worst place in Canada to buy Crypto. High fees and awful communication. Kept checking my order to see if it filled. The cash was sitting there for 6 days during which time I could have bought BTC at a much lower price. Finally found out that I had to re-enter the BTC buy order, even though the send address had been entered with the original order. Stay away from these amateurs. BTW they are NOT an exchange just brokers collecting a fee for being a middle man. Better off to get verified at QuadrigaCX.

Very High Commissions when you compare the difference in Bit Coin Daily Values! Today the posted price of Bit Coin on coindesk.com is $2,749 CAD, ($2,198.88 USD) but the price Canadian Bitcoins is selling the coins for is $3,145. That is a $396.00 difference. I can see charging say a 3% to 5% commission but 14%! Seriously?! That's what I call Organized Crime. Somebody is making a lot of money buying and reselling Bit Coins to Canadians! After all the hassle I went through to set up an account with this company, I am now looking for a better broker.

Convenience is great, but the fees are high. 8% transaction fee is high That means your coin has to profit 8% just to make back its initial investment. That's a high risk.

Decided to take a chance on them and no problems. I sold some BTC for cash and they sent it from Ottawa within 2 days via Canada Post. I did this online on their website. They don't seem to communicate by e-mail, I would recommend calling them ahead of time to make sure they're still in business. They appear to be an office within a larger software company and it sounds like they're either lacking staff or just refuse to reply to e-mails. Overall my experience was good, I would recommend them, but you might have better luck on a different website at least as far as service goes. I just didn't want to supply a bunch of documents on another website, this was simple in the end, simply just send the BTC and they send you cash.

so i thought i would try these guys out, and my first interactions so far left me annoyed. i tried selling coins on here, and the buyer stopped responding and the coins are tied up for an hour an half with no way for me to cancel the transaction.
